Kids Parks in Santa Cruz: Anna Jean Cummings Park

461 Old San Jose Rd, Soquel I always thought this place was called "Blue Balls Park"... I probably go here the most. It is right near my house though. I think this park has the best play structures. Nice separation between a great tots structure and a great bigger kids structure. I know you Can have a Jump for Joy there, but I don't know the specifics. Great play structures, and lots of families go there, so for my friendly toddler more kids means more fun. Be prepared though to run your heart out with the younger kids cuz they love to travel the entire expanse from tot playground to big kid playground and this is a nice BIG play area.

Clean, fun, lots to do - this is a great park! Known locally as "Blue Ball Park" and that's pretty funny! We have had many birthday parties here on the grass and everyone has a great time. Big soccer fields above, lots of walking trails, usually good weather and bathrooms, drinking fountains too

Great park, Very busy in the summer or on weekends, So for toddlers....it is hard on parents. But during school hours it is GREAT for Little ones! Very big and busy, a Great place to gather, But if you need to be with your little ones Don't plan a play date here when it's busy, You will find it hard to chat it up with. But for the K + kids it's great! a little far from the table area, so we have never actually had a party here yet, we have wanted to!
There is no shade so bring your umbrella and blanket.

This is the greatest park in Santa Cruz to me. There's only shade in the pinic area. So bring some umbrellas. It's so funny that they call it blue ball park because of the giant blue balls. There's also a big area to walk your dog, do party's, run, ride your bikes, and more. There's also bathrooms, drinking fountains. The playground is so great. The playground is good for toddlers and even big kids. One of my sons favorites is the big slide. Plus on the tpo is a field. This is my favorite park!!!

This is a big and fun park for kids of all ages. My only complaint is that it does get occasionally crowded, especially on the weekends.

I thought WOW when I first drove by, had to come back with the kids to check it out!
It was nice, but the slide was broken, and there was a jerky kid there. But there was also a friendly mom & kids. But little street & tons of traffic to get to it.

I like this park but it has become too popular. I avoid coming here on weekends. Way too many kids and the parking lot becomes full.
